Acetylhexapeptide-8 structurally mimics the N-terminal fragment of SNAP-25 protein, competing for SNAP-25's binding site within the SNARE vesicle complex and thereby interfering with its formation.When the vesicle complex is unstable, vesicles fail to effectively release neurotransmitters (such as acetylcholine), resulting in diminished facial muscle contraction and reduced dynamic wrinkles (e.g., crow's feet, forehead lines, frown lines, and nasolabial folds) caused by repetitive expression movements.
